Robyn
was a teenage DJ and one of the first females on the air in Virginia. In
1979 she put the needle on the record and began her radio career in her
senior year of high school. Robyn graduated from VCU with a BS in Mass
Communications/Advertising.
You may
remember hearing her locally in Richmond starting way back in 1980 on GO-16
WGOE, Q94, EZ104, 93Lazer, or Power93. Robyn was also on the air at WIOQ
in Philadelphia, WMQX in Greensboro, and WSSX in Charleston, SC.
And then
19 years later, Robyn dusted off her headphones, plugged in, and started
playing Timeless Rock n' Roll, Pop & Soul and singing the daily weather
forecast on WBTL Boomtown Richmond.
Now Robyn gets to do two things she really loves: being a radio DJ and
helping folks get the feng shui balance right in their homes.
Robyn
believes in community service and spends her spare time volunteering for
some of her favorite organizations. She is the Vice Chair of the Board
of Directors of Diversity Richmond and serves as an AARP VA Diversity Team
Advisor.
